Theatre 1 7th period 11-8-16

In the start of class, we had to take our stars of the stage. We also had to get our notebooks because every morning we have a bell ringer to put in it. We had to copy down a definition too, to put in our note section of our notebooks. Next, we did the Alphabet Olympics!!!! We battled it to the end and A.C. won! Last but not least we are using quizlet to study for our test tomorrow until, the bell rings to go to club time!

Today, we started out by doing our bell ringer. It was asking us about us listening to people's voices when they're speaking to us, or when we are watching TV or a movie. After this, we wrote down five of our vocabulary words. We then played a game where we had to say different phrases in different pitches.

So today we worked on pitch. We did a game where you said a word in three different pitches. One of those words was no. You had to say it normal, high and then low. Today we also did vocabulary. One of the words was poise. The word poise means your body movements. Another word was pitch. Which kinda means the way you are talking. By that i mean the level. You can do it either high, low or normal

Community Outreach
Theatre II students had the opportunity to perform for the Peachtree Assisted Living residents. Not sure which group got more out of the experience . . . them or US!!!! :)

WOW! Nine shows in one day was just about enough to do me in, but I was so thrilled with how the kids rose to the occasion! Thanks to the parents who helped us pull off our show!!!

Today in theater we went over/reviewed our classroom procedures , we also went over some relaxation techniques and learned how to become more relaxed and when. Lastly , Mrs.Bruno read aloud to us after we talked about courage . It was a fabulous day.

First thing we did was we did the bell ringer and we had to evaluate ourselves in the bell ringer. Then we played a game called Expert and we had to get up and someone would give us a topic and we would have to talk about that topic for thirty seconds even if we didn't know what the topic was.

Theatre 1 7th Period September 2, 2016
Today when we came in we completed the bell ringer that asked us what the quote "Theatre is life. Life is theatre." After that we played a game called Yes! In the game, we had to stand in a circle and you would point to a person on the other side of the circle saying their name. Then they would say 'Yes!' and the person who called on the other person would go and sit in front of the person they called on's feet. Then the person standing would repeat the process until everyone was seated. The purpose of this game was to hear our cues. After the game we played memory and matching to review for our test on Tuesday.

Today we played the Human knot game. On the first try we got done in 13.08 minutes, and the second time we got it in 3.21 minutes! After that, we played a review game to help us with the vocabulary.

After that we learned what the difference between production and theatre by looking at the same song but in differnt forms. Today we talked about our bell ringer, it was "There's No Business Like Show Business" from Annie Get Your Gun. Then, we reviewed theatre terms we learned last year. Lastly, we played the balloon game helping us learn team work. We were the first class to complete the game twice!!

Theatre II 8/26/16
Today, we played the Husky Challenge. We had to find people that fit particular descriptions/categories. The points were making friends, learning about others, communicating, and . . . just havin' some fun!!!
We took a practice test on Socrative and played a round of Kahoot. We also got to use the SMART projector for the first time to take attendance. (And, I like, says Trinity!) :)
